About a year ago, it was time for my family of four to leave California behind for a new home in wild Minnesota. I shudder to imagine the chaos that happened in my home while Todd and the kids were packing up all our stuff. Our two little girls are Megan and Joy. Age four and one, respectively, they are a handful for sure. Todd has took care of them primarily when we lived out West. Todd would drive it and I would follow in our minivan with the girls. As the move date got closer, though, we realized that the last thing we wanted to do after a stressful week of packing was drive across the country in a hurry. Having moved many times in my life, I thought our plan was perfect. However, I have never moved with kids before and had to come to the realization that it just wouldn’t be as easy in anyway. I’m glad we wizened up and realized we needed help early enough to change our plans. One day, when I came home from the office only to head to my home office to finish up work, Todd informed me we were using a moving pod to get our stuff across the country. That way, we could take our trusty minivan with just the essentials and enjoy our journey. On moving day, movers showed up to help load all our earthly possessions into one of their big moving pods.
